Amrit Indo Canadian Academy conducted a Punjabi Declamation Contest in April 2024
With the aim of inculcating confidence and public speaking skills among the students, Amrit Indo Canadian Academy conducted a Punjabi Declamation Contest in April 2024 . It was an inter-house competition for students from classes IX to XII where as many as 14 students participated representing their respective Houses, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji House, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji House, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji House, Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji House, and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji House. All the students impressed the audience and the Judges with their brilliant and concrete ideas on the topics they were assigned. Jaskaran Kaur (XI-Sci) from Mata Gujar Kaur Ji House won the first position, whereas Karmanpreet Kaur (X) from Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji House and Simarpreet Kaur (X) from Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji House won second and third positions respectively. Sukhpreet Kaur (XI-Sci.) from Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji House also got a special prize as she impressed everyone with her confidence and competitive spirit. On this occasion, the Principal of the Academy, Ms Jaskiran Kaur, awarded prizes to the winners. She appreciated the industrious efforts put in by the participants and the teachers as well. The event remained successful in all aspects.
