Details: Amritians showcased their dexterity as their U-19 girls lifted the first runners up trophy in the National Handball Tournament held at Gnana Bharti English Medium School, Andhra Pradesh. Competing with as many as 11 teams, they beat Dubai, Andhra Pradesh and Ichapuramby 16-1, 15-9 and 16-1 respectively. In the semi final, the girl handball of the academy knocked down Jaipur with the margin of 19-4leaving their opponents startled at their technique, speed and meticulous game plan.
The Principal, Ms Jaskiran Kaur, lauded the painstaking efforts of the players and their coach as well. Mr. Navjot Singh, the director of the academy, congratulated the winners for their splendid performance. The president of the academy, S. Harminder Singh, was overwhelmed to see the girl students of the academy leaving no stone unturned in bringing laurels to the academy.
